ALEXANDRA RICE, CFP®, CDFA®

Vice President, Portfolio Manager

Alex knows firsthand that financial planning requires creativity, compassion, and adaptability when the unexpected happens. After tragically losing their infant daughter to leukemia, Alex and her family moved to Sonoma County, California, where she now remotely advises our clients in all parts of the country. She is passionate about helping women command a leading role in their financial lives, as well as helping families plan for the unimaginable.

Alex is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner. By being certified by the CFP Board, she has taken the extra step to demonstrate professionalism by voluntarily submitting to the rigorous CFP® certification process that includes highly demanding education, examination, experience and ethical requirements.

Alex is also a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst®, a financial professional skilled at analyzing data and providing expertise on the financial issues of divorce. The role of the CDFA® professional is to assist the client and their attorney to understand the financial implications of decisions faced during the divorce and mediation process.

She made the transition to Gearhart and Associates after working alongside the team for nearly a decade at prior firms. Alex graduated from College of Charleston (SC) with a degree in Arts Management and Theater. Alex worked in the non-profit sector raising money for arts organizations in Cincinnati.

Alex and her family now reside in Windsor, California, where she cantors at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and volunteers at Sonoma Country Day School. As a mom of a blended family, she spends her little spare time hiking, cooking, and enjoying the fruits of Wine Country.
